A Woman of God
Proverbs 31 speaks of a woman who is virtuous and one to look to as a role model. I have always felt that my wife Nancy is that woman. She raised our 5 children and has been a loving mother to them and a loving wife to me.
My wife and I have a wonderful marriage and it is due to our love for one another. The Bible is true and teaches us the key to a great marriage. Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the Church and wives are to respect and to submit to husbands in the way God intended (not man's twisted version of this). Men who love their wives could not be abusive towards them so the submission is not as many might view it . . negatively. It is a beautiful thing when each person fits into God's role for us.
1 Cor. 13 also is very key. Understanding that love is not a feeling, but a decision. Feelings are involved but only after we decide to love. This chapter in the Bible defines the kind of Love God is and how we can love one another.
This page is dedicated to my wife Nancy, who is a great gift to me from our Lord. I know that you will be blessed as you read the articles insights that she will share on this special page of our website. God bless you.
God is calling the church back to Himself, as He did in the past He is using prophets to do this as we can see through the prophetic word spoken to Malachi:
"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." Mal 4:5-6 (KJV)
Matthew 2:9-11 (New King James Version)
"When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. ....... "
They rejoiced at the star with exceeding great joy because it was leading them to the greatest eternal Light, Emmanuel (God with Us). The star's purpose was to lead them to the one they would bow and worship. We are to be like the Christmas star, a very bright light, leading people to the Savior, The Light of the World.
John 1:1-5 (New King James Version) "...In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."
His Life and Light overcame the darkness and gives us a reason to rejoice like the Wise-men...
